Run Forrest Trail Run
Saturday 8 June 2024

Registration will open at 9am, all participants must collect race bib & sign in.

Race Brief for all participants is at 10.40am.
All participants must be present

21km Course 11am

The 21km course will start at the Run Forrest Race Village situated on the banks of the Barwon River (access from Hennigan Crescent Forrest – trail walk – no parking at Village).

The trail run will follow the Barwon River along the famous Red Carpet to Lake Elizabeth. The Red Carpet is a favourite amongst mountain bikers for its dynamic technical sections, fern covered single track and fast downhill corners.

Now we get a chance to run it…..

Run Forrest also gives trail runners access to the beautiful fern banks surrounding the majestic Lake Elizabeth.

The course is tough with tight, off cambered turns, fast down hills and undulating with plenty of flow.

The course is a circuit ending at the race village on the banks of the Barwon River.

10km Course 11.15am

MAP-10km

The 10km course will start at the Run Forrest Race Village situated on the banks of the Barwon River (access from Hennigan Crescent Forrest – trail walk – no parking at Village).

The 10km course will be just as much fun as the 21km but with a turnaround at the top of the Red Carpet. This offers its own unique challenges.

The course is a circuit ending at the race village on the banks of the Barwon River.

6km Course & Kids Course 11.30am

MAP-6km

The 6km course & the Kids 6km course is the first half of the 10km course. This is a great little circuit course along the Barwon River to Fernery Trail, across the top of the West Barwon Dam to the water course. Down the big hill and back to the village.

Water Stations

There will be 3 water stations along the route:

1. 5.5km – Marker

2. 8km – Lake Elizabeth carpark (21km runners pass twice)

3. 16km – Marker

*Note -Water Stations not available for 6km Runners or Kids Race (must carry own water)

Road Crossings

3 ROAD CROSSING in 21km Race will be manned until 2.30pm After this time RUNNERS MUST STOP AT ROAD CROSSING and give way to ALL TRAFFIC

Race Number Plate/Bib

Runners will receive a number plate/bib at the registration tent on the day of the race. Number plates will not be posted to competitors prior to the race.
